Announcement    My love of old jeans was my inspiration to create unique, one of a kind pieces. T-shirt blankets are the focus of Isabella Blue, but in the process, I have wandered into other directions. Since I have 2 dogs, I thought it would be a great idea to incorporate "Jeans with a past" into dog beds and collars! The beds are soft yet sturdy, machine washable, and the collars are so unique, you will not find these anywhere! They are not made in a factory! I handmake everything you see! I'm passionate about what I do! I love everything I make.. Everything is different and unusual, and that's pretty much how I would describe myself! ....Isabella Blue Designs is me! It's a direct reflection of who I am. Old jeans are not perfect, but that's what gives them a certain charm. Comfortable, easy, relaxed. My items are meant to be used! Not put under glass or in a box. Use them, abuse them...wash them, dry them, as a matter of fact, the more you wash them, the better they get...just like a pair of old jeans.

For me, the creation of a blanket is a very personal journey that we take together. I’m passionate about my work and producing a piece of art that exceeds your expectations. You gather your favorite t-shirts and we will exchange ideas on the look you want for your blanket. I’ll send you photos as it’s being created so you can watch it unfold into your personal gift.

Twenty-four t-shirts makes a 60” x 90” blanket filled with all-natural cotton batting giving it a thick, warm, soft cover. Even the stitching is your choice. You can have either straight stitch or rag stitch and an option of a frayed hand-distressed edge. It's your blanket, and I work with you on the creative decisions. Like us, the character of these blankets improve with age! Laundering just makes them softer and more comfy. Each piece comes in it's own personal dust bag for you. These blankets are meant to be used! They are soft, yet sturdy, and you will have it for many years to come. I have had such amazing experiences working on projects for my clients and sharing their journeys as we watched their mementos transform into a life story on fabric. Isabella Blue also makes dog beds and uncommon, martingale collars. Beds are made from recycled jeans that are faded and/or frayed. They come in ANY size you would like. Just stuff them with some pillows, and you have a soft, sturdy, unique dog bed! You can machine-wash and dry them as often as you like! They just keep getting softer! I only use 100% cotton heavy-duty denim thread and silver snaps for easy opening and closing. These are sturdy long lasting beds and each one is unique as no two are alike. I’m a dog lover myself and have created the perfect , comfortable, sturdy retreat for your pooch!

I also have 5 birds, a Macaw and 4 parrots, 3 dogs and 2 horses. Watch soon I’ll be making something for each one of them!!!!! Lol!

Classic American Blue jeans side by side with patriotic American Flags = a masterpiece. These hand-crafted pieces measure nearly 60” X90”. The stripes are made from hand-ragged red and white cotton bandana material and the back is classic blue jeans. The stars are each individually hand-sewn and meticulously placed respecting the tradition of the American Flag. The average weight is about 12 pounds! It's a great conversation piece to hang and display or honor a Veteran. And it's not only for display, once again…USE IT! It’s classic and timeless. It's made in America! How great is that?!!!!

With so many requests to give the same soft denim feeling to our precious babies, Isabella Blue Designs has given birth to Isabella Baby Blue-- Where adorable baby blankets come to life! Baby blankets safely crafted from distressed and frayed blue jeans that are so soft, your baby will love them. And NOW…. I was challenged to make truly something special. A Chevron denim blanket, exclusively all from recycled jeans!!! It took months to figure out how to do it and then perfect it to share it with you. 30 pairs of jeans, cut into about 275 strips, sewn together in a Chevron pattern, all in different shades. I have to say, I am SO proud of this!!! King sized and very heavy, this will be something to hand down for generations. (Please see the listings in my shop for more information).

With a Bohemian feel, I have added a new line of Jewelry! Wild Heart/Gypsy Soul is the only way I can describe it. EVERY piece is unique. Every piece is hand made by me! I was looking for unique pieces, and I couldn't find anything I liked. So...I decided to make my own. They are colorful, fun, VERY bohemian, and they were meant to be layered! They are individually distressed and exhibit varied degrees of fading so no two are exactly alike. Tumble drying achieves a tousled, casual appearance.
